Lions:

Lions live for 10-14 years in the wild, in captivity they can live for up to 20 years.

They belong to the Cat family and are mammals. They are the tallest cat and are 12cm taller than Tigers.

They mostly eat wildebeest, impalas, zebras, buffalo, and warthogs in Africa where they originally came from.

Dogs:

Dogs live for 10-13 years on average and are decendants of the grey wolf.

They belong to the Canine family and are mammals. In 2001 there were estimated to be 400 million dogs in the world.

There are more then 100 breeds of dogs in the world. From the tallest being the Great Dane and the smallest being the Chihuahua. Dogs come in many colours which is white, tan, chocolate, red, black, grey and 'blue' which is a kind of grey.

They normally eat dry or wet dog food and sometimes meat. They can't eat chocolate, grapes or raisins as they are bad for a dogs digestive system and can kill them.
