Summer 1: Amazing Corn Maze - Quality Review.
Your work is to be presented to the Company Shareholders (the rest of the class) & Managing Director (your teacher). The final quality will be assessed. Your work should be updated withiin "Hand in". The Managing director will use this additional spreadsheet file (<Save Target As) to calculate your Profit! The spreadsheet predicts your attendance numbers based on quality and then calculates your Event profit or loss! Handin Areas: General Maze Work and Websites.
Summer 2: The Lancre Festival Website
A Festival is to be held in the town of Lancre. You have been asked to design the first two pages of the website. These pages must follow a set Design. You should look at and follow the Design Document. Support files - Resources are here (<@KES Only). Once complete you should add 2 further pages to the website - 'Where to Stay’ and ’Purple Spiders Concert’.
Summer 3: BASH (Bath Activities Sights Hotels) / Revision for Exam
Design your own website that promotes the city (and surrounds) of Bath. Use this as an opportunity to develop a site which conforms to the Revision Document. You are advised to have a homepage (index.html) and at least 3 linked pages (Activities Sights Hotels). A sample site has been set up by previous Students: The Old Bash Site and Bash Structure site! These sites are not ideal, but shows the sort of information and locations to be included. Do remember to create a new folder (BashYOURNAME) and place all the resources jpeg's / swf's / html files inside it.
Exam: You will use Dreamweaver, Flash (+possibly Soundbooth), Photoshop, Illustrator(?) and Internet Explorer in the creation of the site.
Summer 4: Further databases
Developing a Contacts database Download the example - Please be aware that you must enable the options everytime you start the database in school, otherwise the buttons will not work.
Now add details either of people you know or a fictional list. Try to complete between 10 - 20 entries. On some of these attempt to copy and paste images in. You may need to add new Titles and Counties. You can also look at the Printing Lists option, but only use the view rather than print options. Think of what more functionality you would want from this, as the goal will then be to add this in. Are there extra details (Date of Birth) or extra lists (Birthdays) needed?
